A birthday celebration holiday in Bali turned into the most romantic proposal

Jason came to The Village Goldsmith with a wonderfully clear vision of the engagement ring he wanted to create for Danielle, his now-fiancée. From the proportions of the radiant cut diamond to the hidden halo and the delicate finish of the double claws, he had clearly been paying attention. He knew the little details Danielle adored and had a thoughtful understanding of what would make her perfect ring.

Working closely with Jason, our jewellery consultant Juliette and our workshop team sourced a beautiful radiant cut diamond that matched the qualities he was looking for. From there, our master jewellers carefully brought the design to life in yellow gold, complete with a hidden halo and refined double claws.

But the thoughtfulness certainly didn’t stop with the ring.

Jason planned a holiday to Bali to celebrate Danielle's 30th birthday, with another rather important celebration quietly waiting in the wings. A romantic candlelit dinner had been planned for the occasion, setting the scene for a very special question.

And, of course, she said yes 💛

As if the moment wasn’t already magical enough, their hotel joined in the celebrations too, creating a beautiful “She said yes” floral display in the swimming pool.
