Hillary Barry and LifeFlight Supporters Help Lift Our Community
Hilary Barry hosts the Life Flight Gala evening.
Life Flight has saved tens of thousands of lives across New Zealand over the past 40 years by offering time-critical aeromedical care that includes search and rescue, inter-hospital transfers and accident and medical emergency response. Whether in their Wellington-based Westpac Rescue Helicopter or with their nationwide Air Ambulance service, the team stands ready to save 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
For the second year in a row, The Village Goldsmith has proudly supported Life Flight’s critical work with a donation for their annual gala auction. This year’s gala was hosted by Hilary Barry, who we were delighted to dress with a diamond tennis bracelet, tapered diamond hoop earrings and a sapphire and diamond three stone ring. This year, we donated a Bespoke Jewellery Creation Experience valued at $10,000. Life Flight’s Gala auction successfully raised a total of $107,000 to support their life saving work.
The winner of the Village Goldsmith Experience auction will enjoy an immersive day of opulence, starting with an exquisite champagne lunch at Concord hosted by our founders Ian and Christine Douglas. Lunch will be followed by an exclusive design consultation session and a tour of the Wellington workshop and vault. They will be able to select a gem and precious metals of their choosing and our expert jewellers will then handcraft their stories and memories into a bespoke piece of jewellery to be treasured for generations.
