A Rare Diamond for a One-of-a-Kind Love

Argyle pink diamonds are considered to be amongst the finest and most rare in the world. About 15 years ago I was fortunate to purchase such a gem, just as they were becoming famous. Many years later, as my beautiful wife, Christine, approached a significant birthday, I decided to create a special ring to celebrate the occasion, and designed a ring to showcase the diamond to its best advantage.
Pink diamonds look fabulous in rose gold, so I designed a fine enveloping rose gold bezel that hugged the gem and then haloed that with another row of fine brilliant cut pink diamonds, also set in rose gold. To accentuate these beautiful colours, I then added another halo of fine white diamonds which were set in platinum and which flow in a cascading sweep around and down from the pinks to gradually form the band itself. This swirling profile sweeps in such a way to support these glorious gems so that they resemble a blooming flower, the layers unfurling and revealing the beauty of the colours. There is then a fine filament of a rose gold crescent threading through the setting to gently tie the layers together.
The detail and execution achieved by master craftsman Darren Orr is extraordinary, his skill and attention to detail has ensured that Christine has a beautiful ring that gives her enormous pleasure whenever she wears it.
