Our custom jewellery is crafted in our onsite workshop where you can see our creative jewellers at work, so you are involved in the creation and service of your precious jewellery.
To design and craft a unique piece usually takes between 3-6 weeks in total, so be sure to let us know if you have a particular date in mind that you require your piece for and we will do our best to meet your timeframe.

Discuss your design ideas with us in person, via email or Skype. A custom design is truly that - it starts with your unique ideas and vision for your special piece. Our custom ring and jewellery design work is highly regarded and it is recommended that you contact us to make an appointment.
Whether in person or online, our experienced staff and designers will discuss your ideas and make suggestions. Let us know if there are any Village Goldsmith designs that speak to you, and bring or send us any pictures or inspirations and we’ll then make a time for you to view either sketches or models. Designs, pictures of models and stones can also be sent to you for your approval.

The beauty of custom design is that we can work together on your piece of jewellery to ensure you are completely happy with it. We’ll present you with sketches or models, and with our extensive global network of suppliers, we can offer the best quality and value diamond or gemstone options for your budget. The Village Goldsmith is committed to using only ethically sourced diamonds from trusted and reputable diamond suppliers.
At The Village Goldsmith, we use a combination of the latest technologies and traditional craftsmanship to bring your bespoke jewellery design to life. We test and refine the design in our CAD software and we can then print a 3D scale model in a special polymer using our 3D printing technology to ensure the design is correct in every detail.
Your piece of jewellery is then handcrafted by our experienced and award-winning team of jewellers who take immense pride in their work.
Before collection, your new bespoke piece is given a final clean and polish so that it looks perfect upon you. We can even record the creation of your ring as it progresses through the crafting process, please just let us know if you would like this additional service.
We provide you with a Certificate of Authenticity for all diamond rings manufactured on site, which includes a 5 year guarantee on the craftsmanship and a lifetime free checking and cleaning service. This service is provided on site, while you wait, by our experienced manufacturing jewellers and should be completed on an annual basis.
Our experienced jewellery designers are always in our Wellington store, and also available to meet in Auckland by appointment only, or anywhere around the world via Skype/email.
